Tygart's Creek Storage Cabinet

Are you looking for a place to store your fly-tying material and supplies?  Something a little more appealing to the eye than all those plastic crates scattereed around the floor?

If so, then the Tygart's Creek Storage Cabinet may be for you!

The cabinet is made of pine and can be stained in any of our available colors (if we dont have yours listed, just ask, and we'll see if we can find it!  This cabinet in photo is stained in English Chestnut).  It stands approximately 33" high, measures 27" across, and has a depth of 12".  The cabinet has a clean and a little rustic look, which matches well with our other fly-tying and rod storage furniture.

Starting at the bottom:

The bottom chest includes 2 storage drawers and a flash drawer.  The inside of the 2 drawers measure 7 3/4" long x 6 3/4" wide x 3 1/2" deep.  The flash drawer measures 7 3/4" long x 6 3/4" wide x 9 3/4" deep.  In this drawer, 5 dowels have been inserted across the top of the drawer, with 15 clips.  This allows you to clip your flash onto or over the dowel and let it hang down into the drawer, which helps to keep the flash from tangling.

Above the chest, there is a feather drawer (photos above), which measures 16" across x 6" wide x 3 1/2" deep.

On top of the cabinet is an open "crate" for magazines and additional tying material (photos 2 & 3 below).  The crate measures 16 1/2" across x 5 1/2" wide x 7" deep.  A hand-painted fish is cut and placed on the front of the crate - choose from any of our
hand-painted fish for your table (the fish pictured on this cabinet is a cutthroat trout).  5 spool racks have been placed on each side of the crate with dowels that measure 5" long.

All of the drawers have been built with wooden slides, so they can be easily removed from the cabinet.  This allows you take the drawer to where you are tying, so you don't have to make trips back and forth to your tying station (photo 4 below).

The cabinet is shipped in 2 boxes - one for the bottom chest and one for the top.  We have included 4 nuts & 4 bolts to secure the 2 pieces together. When you receive both boxes:  remove all drawers, slide 2 of the bolts down through the front holes in the feather drawer shelf (holes have been pre-drilled), then, when in place, slide the back 2 into their slots, and then add the nuts through the underside of the chest (photos 5 & 6 below).

The dowels for the spool racks are shipped loose, so they will not break during shipping.  You can easily slide these into the pre-drilled holes, and you may want to add a little glue to hold them in place.

Please see our Shipping Policy for construction time on this item.
